    When you arrive at the airport or train station, the Discovery Mongolia team will warmly welcome you and take you to your well-placed hotel in downtown Ulaanbaatar (UB).

    Depending on your arrival time, there may be a chance to explore the city and take leisurely walks. In the evening, we will convene for a welcome meeting with our team and share information about our journey.

    You'll also get to savor delicious meals and spend the night at the hotel.

  • Indulge in a Hotel Breakfast before embarking on a flight to South Gobi Province, your gateway to the Gobi Desert.

    Upon arrival, find serenity as you nestle into your authentic Mongolian ger (traditional dwelling/yurt), embracing the tranquil ambiance.

    Savor a series of Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner), all while taking in the allure of traditional Mongolian gers. Experience the magic of a night spent within these cherished abodes.

  • Following a nourishing breakfast, our day's journey takes us to Yoliin Am, also known as the Valley of Vultures. Here, immerse yourself in the refreshing beauty of a gorge during a 1-2 hour invigorating hike.

    As our hike concludes, we venture westward to unveil the captivating Khongor Sand Dunes – a quintessential destination of the south. Over the course of these two days, you'll have the opportunity for short sand dune hikes and embark on an enthralling camel riding through these vast dunes. An authentic encounter with Mongolian Gobi nomads is an integral part of our agenda.

  • Following a tranquil morning at our camp, we set off to explore Bayanzag, famously known as the Flaming Cliffs. This captivating site reveals the secrets of a prehistoric era, boasting the discovery and restoration of numerous complete dinosaur skeletons that once inhabited this land over 70 million years ago.

    The rock formations emanate a resplendent orange hue, which harmoniously blends with the vast expanse of the Mongolian Gobi Desert.

  • Embarking on a new day after breakfast, our path leads us to the Ongi Temple Ruins, an ancient complex resonating with Buddhist heritage. This leg of our expedition takes us northwards, guiding us toward the confluence of the Orkhon River.

    A tranquil evening awaits at the Ongi camp, where you can unwind and relish the serene surroundings.

    Next, we embark on an excursion to the Erdene Zuu Monastery and the evocative ruins of Karakorum, the 12th-century capital of the renowned Mongol Empire – the largest contiguous empire in human history.   • As the morning dawns, our off-road expedition guides us through hills and ranges to the northern expanse. Along the way, catch glimpses of the authentic Mongolian nomadic lifestyle that dots the landscape.

    Pause for a delightful picnic lunch amidst nature's embrace. As we approach the vicinity of the majestic Khuvsgul Lake, find solace at your Ger camp. Recline and relish a meal presented in quintessential Mongolian style.

  • Embark on a new day post-breakfast, as you embark on a journey to explore the enchanting environs. Partake in a local boat excursion, offering you the opportunity to glide over the serene waters of the picturesque lake.

    Venture deeper into the experience by visiting the local Tsaatan communities, also known as Reindeer Herders, nestled within the forested landscape. Immerse yourself in their unique way of life and have a chance to meet their revered reindeer companions. Enhance your connection to the surroundings with a brief horse ride along the lakeside.

    As the day transitions to evening, indulge in the leisurely ambiance. Delight in a local dinner at your camp and unwind within the welcoming embrace of your Mongolian yurt.

  • The Uran Togoo - Tulga Uul Natural Monument - is a national protected area in the Bulgan Province of Mongolia. It is located about 60 km directly west of Bulgan city around the extinct volcanoes Uran Togoo, Tulga, Togoo, and Jalavch Uul.

    All four mountain names allude to their volcanic past with designations borrowed from around the fireplace. The Uran Togoo and Togoo mountains are named for their bowl shape, the Tulga mountain for its three mounds reminding of the traditional iron tripod kettle support. Jalavch is a term for a small pot. Upon arrival we will have short hiking in the freshness and spend the evening of relaxation at our camp.

    Indulge in a variety of delectable meals throughout the day (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) while spend overnight in traditional gers/yurts.

  • Post-breakfast, we venture to visit the Amarbayasgalant Monastery, also known as the 'Monastery of Tranquil Felicity.' It's one of Mongolia's three grand Buddhist monastic centers, nestled in the serene Iven Valley by the Selenge River.

    Built between 1727 and 1736, it stands as a vital spiritual hub in the Mongolian steppe.

    We'll enjoy meals and spend the night in the temple's awe-inspiring vicinity.

  • As the day progresses, we make our way back to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arriving and checking into our hotel, the remainder of the day unfolds at your leisure.

    Feel free to explore the vibrant heart of the city, embarking on leisurely walks around the bustling city center. Absorb the dynamic energy that Ulaanbaatar exudes, capturing the essence of its urban life.
